1. Elements of Art Booklets:
Fold a long piece of paper into 6 equal parts.
Using magazines, find images that show examples of line, colour, space, texture, shape and form and cut them out.
Collage each panel of your accordion book with at least 3 images that represent an element.
Each panel of your 6 part accordion book should represent one of the elements listed. For an added challenge, the booklet must have unity (one of the principles of design).

2. Typography Portfolio Cover: Name
Using the typography booklets, choose 3 typefaces that you are drawn to for whatever reason. Paying attention to the baseline, the cap height and the x-height, draw each typeface using a word you think "fits" the feeling of the type. Do this with 3 typefaces. Keep in mind that the space between the letters, the negative space, is just as important as the letters themselves. You should pay close attention to the overall effect.
